Mission
The mission
of Career and Technical Education is to help empower students for
effective participation in a global economy as world-class workers and
citizens.
2009 Goal
73% of
the CTE students will achieve Proficiency, which is determined
by NC-DPI as scoring at least a 77 on their CTE postassessments.
Goals for 2009-2010
-
Establish literacy as
primary focuses in all Career and Technical Education programs.

Meet or exceed expected
gains on Local Planning System's Performance Indicators.

Provide staff
development relevant to curriculum and instruction.

Provide CTSO opportunities to
all Career and Technical Education students in every school.

Increase the number of
students completing a concentration in focused course of study.

Expand the opportunities
for student participation in work-based learning activities.

Implement new and
evolving technology in curriculum delivery.

Raise the standards and
increase the number of career academies.
